St Luke 900 plans include a flower festival, a heritage exhibition, four live music events, a medieval fayre, mystery plays, an arts and crafts festival and special church services.

Commenting on the £9,600 grant, Janet Bailey of St Luke 900 said “it’s great that we have this award and also a £1500 grant from Staffordshire Local Community Fund.  It means that we have the resources to hold high quality events – to share our history and celebrate our 900 years in this beautiful church”.

Reyahn King, Head of Heritage Lottery Fund West Midlands said “sharing Heritage is a wonderful opportunity for communities to delve into their local heritage and we are delighted to be able to offer this grant so that St Luke 900 can embark on a real journey of discovery.  Heritage means such different things to different people and HLF’s funding offers a wealth of opportunities for groups to explore and celebrate what’s important to them in their area”.
